Adalya Hawaii

Hello everyone! My name is thelonesloth and today I have a review on Adalya Hawaii. Adalya is a brand manufactured in Turkey. It is pretty popular across Europe and has been in the US for a few years now. This is the fourth flavor that I’ve tried from the brand. I enjoyed their Mint and Orange flavors. Let’s see where this one stands.
Adalya’s standard line uses a virginia tobacco leaf that is dyed red similar to Al Fakher. The consistency of the cut is thick and somewhat chunky. There are a few stems here and there but nothing I would consider bothersome. Across the board the cut is uniform in this sense. The container lid is made of plastic-coated metal. The bottom portion is a hard plastic. The tobacco smells sweet, bright and vibrant with a cooling mint. Based off the smell alone I would think the mint would take the driver’s seat in this flavor.
I packed this tobacco sprinkled fluffy above the rim, patted it down with my hand, and then created a hole in the center of my egyptian bowl for better airflow. This bowl holds roughly 15-18g of tobacco. I used three CocoUrth flats in a lotus during this session.

Simply put, the flavor is a blend of pineapple, mango, and a cooling mint. Contrary to what I thought, the fruits make up the foreground of the mix. The cooling mint is still very present. If I had to take a guess it’s 65% fruit flavor and 35% cooling mint. The pineapple is sweet and the mango is juicy. I would describe the flavors as distinguishable but also somewhat dull in a sense, perhaps even artificial. It reminds me of an alcoholic drink. I would compare it to Al Fakher Fresh. This brand seems to take heat well and this particular one is not an exception. The clouds were nice and large throughout the majority of the session. I smoked this for one hour and 15 minutes before the clouds died out. Although my coals gave out the flavor did not. I found that even at the end of the hour it had plenty of flavor and could’ve kept going for at least another 30-40 minutes. All in all, for the price, it’s not bad but it’s not something I’d keep in my regular rotation due to the slightly artificial taste. Thanks for reading!
