Starbuzz Vintage Ginkco

Hello all, this is thelonesloth with a review on Starbuzz Vintage Ginkco. For those of you who don’t know Vintage is Starbuzz’s dark leaf line of tobacco. The nicotine in dark leaf also tends to be a bit higher than your average modern tobacco. They only come in 200g. The packaging is made out of plastic but is supposed to scream vintage as it’s created to look like wood. The tobacco comes in two seals to make sure it’s airtight which is a standard at this point in the tobacco industry and is always a plus.
The leaf is dark as it should be and has quite a few small stems, they don’t cause any issues and I leave them in when I go to pack my bowls. It’s the most moist of all the dark leaf tobaccos I’ve come across. As I’ve noticed with all vintage flavors the texture of the tobacco tends to be almost gritty to the touch. When I smell the shisha itself it mostly smells of ginger and sweet like honey. The photo on the container shows coconut but it seems to be hidden in the background.
I like to pack this just a smidge over the rim and pat it down so that the foil or HMD is relatively close to the shisha. This For this testing of the flavor I decided to go with the Alpaca Lipache bowl(review coming soon). I can’t say this flavor is a masterpiece but it’s something I go to on a weekly basis. It has notes of honey, ginger and a very light notes of coconut(?). I can’t tell if I’m being catfished by the container of if there really is underlying notes of coconut. I suspect it is just the rich taste of the honey that is tricking me. The honey is the most distinct taste in this blend. There is just a dash of a tobacco taste but nothing that is going to stop me from wanting to smoke this.
