Starry Two Apples

Hello! This is this first of many reviews back. Today we are going to go over a newer brand on the market, Starry. Starry is located in my home state of Florida which I think is pretty neat. Their tobacco is made in Jordan. For those of you who don’t know Two Apples is possibly the most popular flavor associated with hookah. Two Apples is a star anise (think liquorice) flavor with apple. Two Apple flavors are a staple in most seasoned hookah smokers collections, so having a good one is important.
This tobacco is red in color similar to Al Fakher. Starry is probably the juiciest of all the jordanian tobacco’s that I’ve tried, that being said I don’t think that it’s anywhere near over the top. It smells pretty good. It’s kind of on the weaker side in terms of the smell but that isn’t an issue, it’s all about how it smokes. The packaging is solid as well, I just wish the tops of the container were just a tad bit more snug. It hasn’t come loose when I take the container to a friends place but it has crossed my mind that it potentially could.
I packed this semi fluffy in a HJ Harmony Bowl. I like to pack Starry loosely right above the rim and then pat it down. The angle is meh but I’m assuring you this bowl is packed just a smidge below the rim. With most tobaccos I like the HMD I’m using to lightly touch. Starry has smoked wonderfully in every bowl I’ve smoked it in. Some brands I find myself preferring different bowls but this one smokes well in every one I’ve tried. This two apples flavor isn’t the strongest on the market. It tastes like a mixture of Nakhla Double Apple and Al Fakher Two Apple. It has the sweetness of Al Fakher and that tongue tingley sensation you get from the anise in Nakhla’s Double Apple. I appreciate this flavor for what it is and I think it’s a great mixture of the two. The clouds are nice and smokes for about as long as I’d expect Al Fakher to last. All in all, I think this is a good beginner Two Apple flavor if it’s not something you’ve dabbled too deeply into.
